GENERAL INFORMATION

• Fishing licences are available at the lodge.
• We are not responsible for irregularities or events due to inclement weather.
• In the event of delayed trip departures or returns, meals and/or lodging involved are added or subtracted accordingly.
• Birch Lake Lodge reserves the right to make use of any empty plane space.
• Walleye, Northern Pike and lake Trout are in great abundance. Because of the cold water and lack of fishing pressure only artificial lures such as jigs, MEPPS, silver minnows, spinners, spoons and plugs are necessary.

• Live minnows are now available at the Lodge.
• Light to medium spinning reels with 6 - 15 lb. test line and medium action rods are adequate for most trout, northern and walleye.
• Our store has pop, beer, snacks, grocery items, fishing tackle and souvenirs.
• Satellite telephone service available.
• References are gladly furnished.
• Arrival/Departure times - As per prior arrangements.
• Direct private float-equipped aircraft price - If you are arriving direct with your own float plane, subtract $100.00 US per person from any fishing/hunting plans.
• For those parties with private aircraft - Red Lake has a 5,000 foot paved runway with NDB, Vassey and VOR.
• Commercial flights from anywhere - Pricing from anywhere in the U.S. to Birch Lake quoted on request.
• Commercial flights from Winnipeg to Red Lake can be booked on Bearskin Airways.
• Birch Lake Lodge Air Service, owned and operated by Birch Lake Lodge, accommodates our flying (807) 727-2158.

SPECIAL PRICING INFORMATION

• Group rates for 10 plus for July, August and September only.
• Children 12 and under 25% reduction off all plans subject to 2 full adult fares per child.
• Special requirements on request.
• Rates other than those listed, available on request.
• All prices subject to Ontario sales tax and Goods and Services tax.
• All prices are US currency, Canadian equivalent rates available on request.
• Rates are subject to change.
• Tips not included.
• Personal cheques are accepted for deposit. Balance due in cash, money order or travellers' cheques.

WEIGHT LIMITS

• Due to aircraft weight restrictions and limited space, please try to stay within the weight limit for your plan.
• Weigh up your baggage on your bathroom scale.
• Excess baggage will cost you $.80 / lb
• We prefer you to use smaller soft side bags, for ease of handling, and ease of loading into the airplanes.
• For Housekeeping Plans, please have groceries packed into smaller boxes, preferably not over 50 lbs. each.
• Large coolers can be left at our waterbase and picked up on your return.
• Do not bring firearms out of hunting season. (No handguns at any time)
  
  

RESERVATION POLICY

• A deposit of 20% of the package price is required to confirm your reservation and qualify you for the GST rebate.
• Deposits are non-refundable but transferable for up to one year.
• A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is required per person for a hunting package.
• Parties must pay for period booked, regardless of departure date.
• We suggest that any changes to your travel arrangements be made by telephone.
• After receiving firm reservation with deposit - confirmation will be sent with detailed trip arrangements.
• A deposit for a no-show will be forfeited.
